Ah, the Cold War. What warm and fond memories of worrying about global destruction and nuclear winter. Yes, this was the nightmarish future that scared all of us kids growing up in the second half of the 20th century.
I have to admit I'm old enough to remember the occasional school drill of duck and cover. Fortunately that turned into "take cover from tornados" drill.
